This cruise control fits all variants of the DL800 V-Strom from 2023, the DL800, the DL800 DE and the DL800 RE and Touring variants.

The Motorcycle Cruise Control unit is adapted specifically for this vehicle, with a custom made and fully plug and play wiring harness, using genuine connectors and terminals as used by the manufacturer. There is no wire splicing or any other permanent changes made to your bike.

Cruise control switch - there are two switch options to choose from and three mounting options for the seconds switch (see photos). Please download and read the brochure (link below) so you can understand how these options fit on the bike.

New Slim MCCruise switch: Our new fully-featured and weatherproof switch, which is a no cost option and is fitted between the bike's switch block and the clutch lever mount (manual shift) or hand brake mount (DCT). Backlit buttons for night use, power (ON-OFF) indicator light and engage indicator light. The switch is 10mm (3/8") wide, so it may be necessary to slide the clutch lever assembly across to make space to mount the switch on the handlebar. Contact us for installation instructions if you wish to see how it is fitted.
Original style MCCruise switch with standard mounting bracket: Our proven, fully-featured and weatherproof switch which comes standard with all of our products. Backlit buttons for night use, power (ON-OFF) indicator light and engage indicator light. This is for the standard DE hand guards that mount on the bike's mirror mount, the standard hi mounted bracket must be specified. This bracket may also be used if the bike does NOT have the DE original hand guards fitted.
Original style MCCruise switch with optional low mounting bracket: If the bike does NOT have the DE original hand guards that mount on the bike's mirror mount, this lower bracket can be purchased instead.
Original style MCCruise switch with optional high mounting bracket: If the bike does NOT have the DE original hand guards that mount on the bike's mirror mount, this higher bracket can be purchased instead.

Works excellent, easy enough to install

tl;dr - It's awesome and provides the same functionality as any basic car cruise. Relatively easy to install. Would buy again.

This feels like a must have if you do some longer trips with primarily on road riding. Even if you aren't necessarily a very experienced mechanic but can follow instructions and have the tools required, you can install this yourself. The instructions are very good. (Note: I didn't remove the gas tank and that worked just fine for the connectors and cable routing)

I had a 1K trip coming up with 80% freeways and highways and have a wrist issue that makes my wrist hurt after some time with the hand in the same position, with slight resistance from the throttle. Found and ordered this as it seemed a bit better featured than other offerings I found. Install took around 4 hours, although, I took my time with lots of breaks. Works great and I love that I can adjust speed with just button up or down. Allows for customization of certain parameters, such as how long you have to engage the "increase/decrease speed" buttons before the speed starts increasing/decreasing.

5/5 - Made my 800DE significantly more versatile and comfortable.

Finally, THE missing option is installed on my 800DE!

Nobody understands why Suzuki didn't propose a cruise control option for the 800DE, but MCCruise did it, so now I can enjoy using it and avoid looking at my speedo instead of at the road ahead.
The wiring harness is complete and easy to install. Some pages in the (thick) documentation would benefit from using colors, and an overview of the location of the various harness ends in the bike would have been appreciated (pictures taken alternatively from left/right/front/back make it tricky to locate them at times).
So far, so good. The MCCruise is easy to use and does the job, as expected. Thinking about translating the doc for non english readers, MCCruise (not an issue for me, but a friend made me notice it's English only once I was done installing)?
