Honda TRX400FA FourTrax Rancher AT Automatic Speed & Spray Control from
2003 | Steve, Yass NSW Australia | Gidday Tony, Just a quick note to let you know how pleased I am with my
QuadCruise (ATV Speed and Spray Control) and to give you a bit of contractor
feedback. As you know, I purchased my unit for a new Honda TRX400FA back
in 2004 for boom spraying and fertilizer spreading. I use a 400 litre gold
acres unit with an 8m boom and double side foam markers. I also use a ground
driven 350 litre super spreader which needs to be driven at 15 kph (9 mph)
to give the desired 18m spread for 250kg/ha. - something very hard to do
given that you start off pulling about 500kg and within 4/5 minutes are
down to 100kg, but the QC takes the pain out of that. It makes fence lines
a breeze with a spot sprayer and lets you swap hands but its biggest feature
is boom spraying! There is nothing you can do to a bike to make life easier,
forget about rate controllers this is the single most useful thing I have
ever bought. it would be cheap at triple the price. Mine is teamed to a
Honda pump through solenoids and a dump valve so when you touch the front
brake the whole mix agitates till you touch resume. We are usually using
water rates of 100 l/ha and driving at 12kph. The only thing to wear out
in 6 years is the rubber boot on the spray on/off switch. A real quality
product. Steve ? Yass, New South Wales, Australia September 2010 |
Honda TRX450FE & FM FourTrax Foreman ES & S Speed & Spray Control from
2002 to 2004 (With TraxLok). | Frank, Robinvale, Victoria, Australia | TRX450ES Thanks for installing your Speed and Spray Control on my TRX450ES
last year. I've now done 6,500 hours in the last 14 months and the cruise
is the best accessory I've ever bought! I give the unit a hard time - it
hasn't even had the boot lid for the last 8 months - but it just keeps on
tickin'! Thanks again, - Frank, Robinvale, Victoria, Australia |

Honda TRX500FE, FM, TM FourTrax Foreman ES & S Speed & Spray Control from
2005 - Speed Limiter Kit. | Southcorp - Clare Valley, SA. Australia | 'Southcorp's Clare Estate Vineyard finds the ATV Speed & Spray Control
pays dividends The integrated 'Speed and Spray Control' from MotorCycle
Setup (an all Australian company) has now proven its reliability and usefulness
in weed control on ATVs. Southcorp Australia, the worlds largest premium
wine company, has proved over the last two years that these units assist
in their operations significantly by delivering ergonomic benefits to the
operator and environmental advantages. The cruise control maintains constant
low speeds, releasing the operator from the mentally and physically demanding
task of controlling the speed precisely, and integrates the spray system
with the speed control, which creates consistent performance. Southcorp's
Clare Estate vineyard bought two Honda TRX450 ATVs in 1999 equipped with
the Speed and Spray Controls. The operators are so impressed with the improved
comfort, reduced stress and their ability to work longer hours that they
compete to get the ATVs fitted with the controls each morning. Of the four
ATVs used in the vineyard, the 'cruise control' equipped units are always
the first to be used. Managers are satisfied with the knowledge that spray
application rates will be optimised as a result of the consistent speed
control. The MCS QuadCruise has been available in Australia for three years
now and has proven its reliability in the field. It is relatively easy to
install - it is basically a 'plug and play' accessory even though it takes
several hours to fit. The unit comes pre-configured and is set up to work
optimally in the typical spray speed ranges recommended for weedicide application
- 4 - 12kph. The manufacturers have built many safety features into the
kit drawing on their substantial experience in making cruise control work
safely and reliably on motorcycles. The Speed & Spray Control required
a new computer to make the concept work, but the two years of development
is paying off. Kits are available for the Honda ATV range (TRX 300, 350,
400 & 450, with the kit for the Rubicon 500 under development). Polaris
Magnum and Sportsman 500, Xpedition 425 and Magnum 325 kits are also now
available. The Kawasaki KVF 400 will be available shortly. Another application
for the Speed & Spray Control is ATV-based fertiliser spreading operations.
The company is targeting viticulture, orchards and the nut industry in its
promotion of the product - and expanding its promotion overseas. The product
looks set to earn valuable export dollars for Australia in the near future.
The unit excels anywhere that constant, slow speed over smooth or rough
terrain is required. It is now proven that the computer holds speed over
rough ground far more effectively than a rider can. Southcorp's experience
supports this view with their considerable experience in day to day operations
over the last two years! |
Honda TRX500FA FourTrax Rubicon Speed & Spray Control 2005~2006 with brake
lights. | Sean Dompe | Before and after the sale, service was outstanding. I live in California
and this company is in Australia, Tony was very helpful with all my questions
and in making sure the product was the correct one for my quad. This was
all prior to the sale. After sale help has been excellent. Both Tony and
Frank have been very prompt in responding to my e-mails and making phone
calls to ensure that the installation went smoothly. I am very happy with
the product and would do business with this company in the future, and highly
recommend them to anyone. Thanks again for all the help, Tony and Frank. |
HONDA TRX420FE, FM, TM FOURTRAX FOREMAN ES & S FROM 2007. See note 7 &
16 | Brent Wright, President, ICMS - April 2009 | April 16, 2009 Mr. Tony Guymer, Director MotorCycle Cruise Controls Pty.
Ltd 6 Kingston Street Mount Waverley, Victoria, 3149 Australia Dear Tony:
I am writing to let you know that our agronomists in Manitoba, Saskatchewan
and Alberta are very pleased with the performance of the cruise control
units that we installed on our three 2008 Honda TRX 420 FM?s last spring.
The uniformity of the speed control and the speed repeatability from the
memory/resume function on these things is incredible. The units were easy
and quick to install using the detailed instructions that were included.
Your willingness to pick up the phone and give us a call during the installation
process was very much appreciated. In our pesticide residue research business,
uniformity and precision of spray applications is critical. Independent
auditors visiting our facilities have previously viewed ATV?s to be unacceptable
traction units due to their difficulty in maintaining a constant and repeatable
speed over relatively short distances. Your cruise control units had a tough
sale to make, but have repeatedly left the auditors overwhelmed with the
precision and dependability of the speed of our ATV?s. While we were initially
a little shy of the price tag for the units, our agronomists reported back
in the first week of use that the time saving from now being able to use
ATV?s for applications was reducing their setup and calibration time by
one half. Our field operating season is short, so every hour that we can
save goes a long way to improving the bottom line. On top of that, the agronomists
actually enjoy using the system. But enough raving.....back to business!
Please ship me one unit for the 2009 Honda TRX 420 FM that we will take
delivery of shortly. The agronomists on our team have told me that we are
not buying another ATV without first checking to make sure that you have
an install kit for the particular make and model! Sorry that we are only
ordering one this year. However we will be adding to our fleet again next
year! If you encounter any other crop researchers who question the necessity
or cost of installing one of your cruise control units on their ATV?s or
UTV?s, feel free to tell them to give me or anyone in our company a call!
Best regards, Brent Wright, President |
