MCCruise support years after purchase is second to none!

Hi,

I just wanted to tell others the help I got from everyone that was involved at mc cruise was unbelievable - nothing like the help I get from USA companies.

I had an inoperative cruise control the people who run and helped me at mc cruise with the aftermarket cruise control was so helpful and never gave up with sending me diagnosing charts and info they even called me and fixed an issue with the clutch switch that had been set wrong with reverse polarity, everything works fine now.

This is a long-term company as there making and designing new units for new bikes for the new drive by wire cruise systems, that most new bikes have and most likely easier to install..tks again mc cruise

Well worth it

I have a 2021 Concours 14. I commute two hours a day in traffic mostly on the highway. I debated McCruise for 9 months while playing with a throttle lock. After 8000 miles I ordered it. The install took all day and requires attention to detail but now that it's installed I am amazed at how well it works and would never go back. The goods are too many to list. For one, when I set the speed limit it always goes that speed within 1mph. The controls are amazing and have all the basics like set, cancel, resume, Accel, and Decel. You can go into diagnostics and raise and lower the engine RPM. The lights and buttons are well lit and well placed. You can see the light coming from the computer which is cool. I was worried about the throttle moving but it really isn't noticeable. Not the bad. The extra cables and cable box adds tension. The required oiling of the cables actually makes them smoother, but overall it feels like a higher springs pull. I only feel this when first pulling the throttle, but I don't notice it at all when the throttle already has some tension. Funny thing is, if you have the cruise working and pull the throttle it feels like the original tension. One note, and this may be specific to newer models like my 2021: My clutch lever will not pass diagnostics unless the bike is in gear. In addition, the clutch release will not disengage the cruise. But otherwise the cruise works perfectly and I think this has something to do with later model computers.

Fully met expectations

I ordered the cruise system for my Concours14 about a year ago but held off doing a review until I had a chance to use it. Put 20k kms on the bike last year so that's a decent test.

The installation instructions were excellent. Be sure to really read them and view the images closely as these folks have put a lot of effort into laying out the steps to make things easy. Took about 4 or 5 hrs from start to finish. None of it was difficult, just takes time and requires close attention.

The trickiest part was the cable calibration which again is not difficult, just requires careful attention. There are a series of steps to be performed that need to be done in sequence and within a fixed time period. Read the calibration instructions several times first and get familiar with the procedure before starting - it will save you time in the long run. Once completed, everything worked perfectly.

Now, on to usage. The unit is simple to use and functions exactly as it should. Be aware if you have a cable actuated throttle (vs throttle by wire) that you will feel the unit engage and disengage when active which is normal. Think of it as a slight nudge as if the throttle was being twisted or released a little bit which is exactly what is happening.

Overall, an excellent high quality product that does exactly what it should. Would rate install difficulty at 4/10 largely due to the number of parts that need to be removed or touched to complete the process.

MCCruise delviers great after-sales service

A few weeks ago I spoke with tony on the phone for about 40 minutes trying to fine tune my surging issue. I just wanted tony to know his assistance was greatly appreciated and the cruise works much better now. It’s one thing to sell a superior product but your customer service is second to none. I have many biker friends here in Canada and have told all of them how much I like your product but more importantly how good your customer service is. Keep up the good work and thank tony again for his patience with me.
