MotorCycle Cruise Controls
The Motorcycle Cruise Control unit is specifically designed for the GSX-S1000. It was developed on a 2017 model bike and will fit all 2017 & later models up to 2021. It will not fit the new 2022 model with ride-by-wire throttle. It will also fit the earlier models, (2015 to 2016) but we have not fitted the cruise to the earlier model yet, we have had customers who have and the only difference we are aware of is a change in two electrical connectors, the clutch switch and the engine management ECU. See the product brochure (there is a link further down the page) for details about this.
We have had one customer fit this to an early model GSX-S1000F (full fairing version), and it does fit and work, but the mounting for the CIU (Cable Interface Unit) is very tight and he trimmed the left side fairing duct slightly to make it fit (see photo). Not other modifications were necessary to fit the GSX-S1000F.
The motorcycle cruise installation instructions and specific cruise manuals and supporting documents can be found here.
Please choose your model very carefully as shipping and re-stocking fees are expensive. We urge you to review and assess complete installation manuals to determine whether you are capable of installing yourself, or need to employ a professional before purchasing from us.
The throttle servo and cruise computer are mounted under the passenger seat in the rear storage compartment. Check your bike to ensure that there are no other components mounted in this area that might prevent the cruise control being installed. See the brochure for more details.
Cruise control switch - there are two options to choose from (see photos):
In order to fit this cruise control kit, small terminals have to be backed out of connector housings. This requires suitable terminal extractor tools on the later model (2017+), they are not essential on the earlier model (up to 2016). See the product brochure (there is a link further down the page) for details about these tools. They may be purchased from other suppliers or from us. They are available here:
