The Motorcycle Cruise Control unit is adapted specifically for this vehicle, with a custom made and fully plug and play wiring harness, using genuine connectors and terminals as used by the manufacturer. There is no wire splicing or any other permanent changes made to your bike.

The motorcycle cruise installation instructions and specific cruise manuals and supporting documents can be found here.

Cruise control switch mounting bracket - the MCCruise bracket uses the bike's original mirror mount (EMAIL US if you have removed the mirrors), and there are four options to choose from (see photos):

  1. Standard low switch mounting bracket - allows enough space for a gloved thumb to operate the bike's up arrow menu button, but it is a neat fit.
  1. Optional high switch mounting bracket - raises the switch by about 10mm (3/8") to give more space above the bike's up arrow button, but this makes the reach to the cruise control switch longer.

  2. Optional below bar mounting bracket - puts the switch below the handlebar. Check that there is at least 25mm (1") clearance in a straight line below the bike's switch gear when the handlebars are turned full left. Most rulers are about 1" wide, so if turn the bars full left, then try to fit the ruler under the bike's switch block, parallel to the bars, if it fits without touching the fuel tank panels, the switch should fit. The switch is actually ~20mm (~3/4") high, plus a bit of space between the switch and bike's switch gear, plus a bit for errors, means 25mm (1") should be safe. If there is not enough clearance, the bars can be rotated in the mounts to set the bars higher, or risers can be fitted.

  3. New Slim MCCruise switch: Our new fully-featured and weatherproof switch which is a no cost option and is fitted between the bike's switch block and the clutch lever mount. A Backlit button for night use, power (ON-OFF) indicator light and engage indicator light.  The switch is 10mm (3/8") wide, so it may be necessary to slide the clutch lever assembly across to make space to mount the switch on the handlebar.  Contact us for installation instructions if you wish to see how it is fitted.

Diagnostic Dongle for KTM motorcycles

Many KTM riders install CAN-BUS fuel or off-road dongles to the CAN-BUS diagnostic plug on their bikes. The MCCruise also taps into this plug, so to have two connections, a pass-through patch harness is required to support accessories downstream of the MCCruise connection. To facilitate this process, MCCruise makes a specific connector for KTM motorcycles and will make more for other motorcycles as the need arises.

If your bike has any sort of CAN-BUS dongle connected to the CAN-BUS diagnostic plug, please ensure when buying your new MCCruise you select the Dongle Connection Included button, rather than buying this accessory later. Buying at the same time as buying your cruise control minimizes shipping costs for customers.

      Truly a great product

I was waiting for the thin switch as I am using Doubletake aftermarket mirrors and the other switch boxes wouldn't work with my mirror setup.

I received the box on my porch at 2:30PM, finished calibration, testing and a test drive by 7:30PM the same day. I had the tank and plastics off in preparation for the installation.

The installation went very smoothly, the directions are extremely clear and well done. Routing the wires is pretty simple too although there are tight spots on the bike where it requires a bit of fiddling. The tight spots are near the steering head and around the battery. In my view, it is a very easy installation and locating the connections you need to tap was pretty simple.

The kit truly does include everything you need, including zip ties to secure the wiring harness to the frame.

The test drive went perfectly and it works exactly as described.Such a great product and so nice to have this available for my 2016 KTM 1190 Adventure R.

      KTM 1190 Adventurer CC

I did about 700 km on my bike on the weekend (with 40 Kg of equipment on the back) and the CC was excellent, I didn't need to make any adjustments to the settings as it was spot on.
I found the application of the CC to be very very smooth right from the start, it also seems to hold the speed very good as well.
About half of the Ks were done on smooth flowing (A) roads and about half were done on (B) roads with lots of hills and bends and it was great.
It puts a new level of comfort and safety into riding, thanks for your work Saturday morning.

      Thanks Frank & Tony

      KTM 1090 R Install

Thank you, Tony for the awesome product. I had my wife reading out the instructions, while I did the work. Took about 4 hours for the actual install plus R&R of the tank, etc. Very doable for a person with average skills.Instructions were spot on. The only thing we snagged on was the tach sensor test - I was looking at the led on the controller NOT the computer, and panic'ed a bit. Then I saw the led on the computer flashing and all was good.Have only had a chance to utilize the cruise a couple of times (still below freezing at night), but everything works as promised.

Being able to rest the right arm while driving is a huge deal, and I can't thank you enough for sticking with this project.

Absolutely recommend this company and this product!
