This cruise control kit uses our new computer which has allowed us to build in the following safety features: continuous engine rev sensing and cruise cutoff; clutch sensing with cruise cutoff; excessive acceleration cutoffs; excessive speed cutoffs; state of the art electrical noise filtering on all inputs; opto-coupler protection on the computer chip; proven safety in the throttle body interface using our cable interface unit; and ALL major components are now hidden under the bodywork! Operating range - 22mph to 108mph (35kph to 180kph) (NOTE: on 2006-7 model bikes the cruise control will work down to 22mph, BUT the speed will wander a bit at low speeds due to a 'reverse snail cam' mechanism on the throttle spindle. We had to soften the speed holding to stop the bike hunting. Above 48mph the cruise control holds speed well. Other models perform very well across the whole speed range.) Our cruise control delivers significant fuel savings and increased bike and rider range as well as unbelieveable ergonomic benefits!
